Tonight for me is a big deal, not only am I getting to take photos of one of the most idolised metal bands of all time, I am getting to see them in one of the most famous venues in the country, Rock City.
As I grabbed my press pass which I have to say looks amazing, I noticed how diverse the crowd was in age. I think that the age ranged was from 8 years of age to 60+ which is amazing. Anthrax have been around long enough to educate so many generations with amazing music.
Opening tonight is The Raven Age (9), who I have to admit were very entertaining and I really enjoyed the set. I previously saw them last year at Download Festival. The song Angel in Disgrace is the song I knew which went down very well, with quite a few people singing along.
Anthrax (10) absolutely destroyed Rock City and sounded amazing. The tour currently is Anthrax playing the album Among the Living in full which they play as if they have been playing the same set the past 30 years. My favourite songs of the night were probably Caught in a Mosh and A.I.R.
I left Rock City with a massive grin on my face. That was the best show I have shot and would be a evening I carry with me on my photography path for years to come.
