The Darkness Reveal New Album Details & Massive UK Tour!

Stone Free Festival The Darkness' Justin Hawkins by Sandra Sorenson
Goofball glam rockers The Darkness have unveiled plans for a new album and massive UK tour. The band, led by Hawkins brothers Justin and Dan, launched pre-orders for the forthcoming opus on PledgeMusic.

A statement on their website said:

Brooding, magnificent. Like the mighty mother condor, sitting atop her rock egg in a nest of curly hair on the side of a powerful mountain.

Now, as we all know, great news comes in twos – so rejoice children of the world, because the rock egg is soon to hatch! In September of this annus rockabilis, and with the help of those excellent people at Cooking Vinyl, we will issue forth a fifth LP record album for your delectation.

In order for you to engage completely in this astounding event, we have joined together with PledgeMusic to offer amazing deals on said record and also some excellently terrific concert tickets. So please stop what you are doing and pay money for brilliant stuff on the interweb. Thanking you!

They will be joined once again by original bassist Frankie Poullain and drummer Rufus Taylor, son of Queen legend Roger Taylor. An extensive run across Australia will be followed by European summer shows. These include two UK festival appearances ahead of a tour around the country in November and December.
