We’re a little bit late with this one but recently the Slam Dunk Festival team announced a whole load more bands to play their May Bank Holiday festival triple header.

Topping off the announcement of new bands to play Birmingham, Leeds and Hatfield this May are UK rockers Deaf Havana. Fresh off a hugely successful recent UK tour and with new album All These Countless Nights having won rave reviews, their appearance at Slam Dunk 2017 will be one of Deaf Havana’s biggest UK festival appearances to date.

Also returning to Slam Dunk for the last time (anywhere!) are We Are The Ocean, with the festival marking their last three ever shows as a band after the band announced they were calling it quits recently. Appearing at Slam Dunk certainly means they’ll be going out in style!

Making their debut at the festival this year with his band is former My Chemical Romance man Frank Iero and the Patience. Frank has been touring the UK fairly regularly since starting his solo project but this Slam Dunk appearance is one of his biggest “solo” outings yet, and will surely attract both old MCR fans and lovers of his solo work.

On the heavy side, New York metalcore favourites Stray From The Path are jetting in to cause some of the weekends’ biggest mosh pits, planning to keep up the metalcore Slam Dunk traditions in force for 2017.

Joining the above bands across the weekend will be The Maine, Crime In Stereo, Sorority Noise, Too Close To Touch, WSTR, Seaway and Boston Manor.

All of the newly announced acts join headliners Enter Shikari, Don Broco, Bowling For Soup, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Beartooth, Tonight Alive and many, many more at the 2017 Slam Dunk Festival. Slam Dunk South in Hatfield is now officially SOLD OUT, with North in Leeds predicted to follow shortly.

Grab your tickets costing £44 or £49 with afterparty included from the official website – http://slamdunkmusic.com/festival/. Stay tuned for another announcement TOMORROW (told you we’d been a bit tardy with this one).
