Songwriter extraordinaire Ginger Wildheart has launched his latest PledgeMusic campaign to raise support for a new country album, “Ghost In The Tangle Wood”. The Wildhearts frontman said:
“I’m beyond chuffed to bring you this, my first album in a country style.
It features an all new gang of seasoned musicians, and I’m honestly delighted with this finished album.”
Sample tracks are now on the page, with Samaritans nominated as the charity linked to the campaign. The organisation will receive 10% of proceeds received. Ginger, who has been candid about his past personal problems, said:
“I shouldn’t need to explain how very important it is to make people aware of mental health issues and suicide prevention, but this is a subject that can never be talked about enough. Speaking out about mental illness is currently our strongest weapon in the war against suicide.”
Ginger will also play an acoustic solo show next month at Winchester in Hampshire.
Meanwhile his pop-rock project Hey! Hello! are set to appear at the Camden Rocks festival in June.
