If you’re a long time Dream Theater fan then hold onto your proverbial hat, because this is big news! Former DT drummer Mike Portnoy has announced he is bringing his Shattered Fortress project to the UK for a one off performance of Dream Theater’s Twelve Step Suite of songs.
This very special show will take place on the 28th of June at London’s KOKO venue, and will see a performance of the twelve step suite in full, as well as select other Dream Theater / Mike Portnoy songs.
The twelve step suite is a collection of songs that took place over five consecutive Dream Theater albums and detail Mike Portnoy’s battle with alcoholism, and are a reflection of the twelve step program used by Alcoholics Anonymous in the US.
Tickets for this VERY special show will go on sale this evening (Wednesday 15th March) at 7pm. The Shattered Fortress band line up will consist of Portnoy, along with members of Neal Morse’s band and the prog band Haken.
