Following on from Wednesday 13’s huge win last time out, we’ve got another six bands ready to do battle in this weeks’ video of the week contest from all over the globe!
First up this week are the returning Fozzy! With the always charismatic Chris Jericho at the helm, Y2J and the rest of Fozzy have come up with a cracker for their comeback in the shape of Judas. It’s an action packed video too, which we won’t spoil, except to say scroll down and watch it! WWE fans may well vote for Fozzy in droves, but Judas deserves every vote it gets on merit.
From one well known frontman’s returning band to another and Chris Jericho to Corey Taylor; Stone Sour are back and firmly on the build up to their new album Hydrograd next month with the release of new single Fabuless. The video is a very colourful affair and bares resemblance to the entrance of a certain WWE superstar, which led to this Twitter exchange involving none other than our own features editor Jamie. Want Stone Sour to be this weeks’ winners? Then get voting.
From Iowa to Cambridge, UK and the latest offering from Mallory Knox, referring back to the USA with their latest single California. Things have been going from strength to strength for Mikey Chapman and co recently including a huge UK tour, and they’re keeping the momentum going with California. Where will this latest single take them? We’ll just have to wait and see.
After the three well established names, we also have three newcomers in this edition of video of the week. First of the new blood is UK pop-rock singer-songwriter Charlie Manning, who has just released his debut offering Light Years In Moments. A catchy little track, if there is more of this to come from Charlie then he could be one to watch.
Leeds alt-rockers Where Fires Are are the second of our new acts included this week. Their video for Die Or Survive is very visually impressive, and they’re a band whose sound feels reminiscent of some of the British rock legends of the 70’s, but with a modern twist. Check out Where Fires Are, and if they’re your pick of the bunch, you know what to do!
Aussie prog / tech metallers Figures are another new band to our ears, but we think they are a band many more people will start hearing about if all their material is as good as new single Recoil. The video is a very personal one as it is dedicated to the memory of one of their fans who sadly passed away from cancer. Fans of bands such as No Sin Evades His Gaze will absolutely lap this up. Will we have Aussie winners this week? If you enjoyed Recoil you know what to do!
So there we have it, this weeks’ videos! This edition of video of the week’s voting will close at 12pm midday on Thursday 18th of May UK time – so you have six days to get the votes in!
