While the world is (still) waiting for new Tool material, Maynard James Keenan’s other musical endeavour A Perfect Circle have dropped a surprise bombshell of a new track in the early hours of this morning. Having previously teased something over the last couple of days, the new single arrived while most of us were still in our beds.
Titled The Doomed, it has the classic APC sound, and is one hell of an atmospheric track. You can enjoy The Doomed without any further waffling from us here:
The Doomed is the first new material from A Perfect Circle since they included one new track, By And Down, on their 2013 Greatest Hits compilation album Three Sixty. The band have been at work in the studio throughout the year on their first new full studio album for over a dozen years, and this is our first taste of it. Based on this, bring on the rest of the album! A Perfect Circle have performed live in the US earlier in the year so we can only hope that this reunion will find its way to UK shores at some point either before or after the release of the new album.
