Tis the season…for more bands playing Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2018!
Team BOA have added another quartet of bands to the line up for next year’s festival, and this announcement is a proper Christmas cracker. Topping things off this time out are Florida’s power metal maestros Kamelot, who are very rarely found playing UK festivals, so this is quite the coup for Bloodstock 2018. Kamelot are hard at work on the follow up to their excellent 2015 album Haven, so hopefully there will be some new tunes by the time Bloodstock rolls around.
Joining Kamelot at BOA 2018 is none other than the spooktacular Wednesday 13. A regular sight on these pages to our readers over the last twelve months, Wednesday and his band will join Kamelot in playing the Ronnie James Dio main stage on the Friday of the festival.
Joining Kamelot and Wednesday 13 also on Friday’s main stage are thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies, making their Bloodstock debut in 2018. With drum messiah Dave Lombardo currently occupying their kit, expect bodies to fly by the inflatable dingy load during this performance.
Lastly for this announcement, joining the party on Sunday’s main stage are Mr Big! They are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band, and what better way to do so than to play Bloodstock for the first time?
The above bands join headliners Judas Priest, Gojira and Nightwish, as well as Emperor, Devildriver, Nails, Fozzy and many more at the 2018 Bloodstock Open Air Festival at Catton Hall in Derbyshire from the 9th-12th August. Get your tickets from the official festival Seetickets online ticket shop, and stay tuned to Rock Sins for more Bloodstock goodness as the weeks and months go on.
