URNE have announced details of their debut EP, ‘The Mountain of Gold’.
The trio, consisting of former Hang The Bastard members Joe Nally and Angus Neyra with drummer Richard Wiltshire, will self-release ‘The Mountain of Gold’ on July 27.
The EP was produced by Josh Middleton of Architects and engineered by Craig Reynolds of Stray From The Path, while its lead single and opening track is called Dust Atlas. Talking about the song and its accompanying video, vocalist and bassist Nally said:
“Dust Atlas was the first track written for our upcoming EP ‘The Mountain Of Gold’ and also the opener to that EP. We feel this song captures a lot of different elements of what Urne is about. We’ve always been passionate about heavy metal but also so many other genres and influences, we feel these are prominent on this track and throughout the EP. We’re really pleased to be getting our music out and playing this material in a live environment.
“We wanted the video to Dust Atlas to match the track in energy and feel. Shooting with Adrian Cecil in a dark dingy basement in Croydon, we feel he’s done a great job capturing the vibe of the track.”
