Every year for the past several years at Download Festival, a special event occurs. On the Thursday of the festival, the Doghouse tent is turned over to a very important part of the Download Festival community – those behind the Download Forums – for the annual “Boardie Takeover“. Having grown in size and popularity, its now almost a mini festival of it’s own and a fantastic warm up for the full three days of Download. Taking place as always on the Thursday (June 13th this year), here’s who you can all look forward to experience during The Boardie Takeover.

Headlining The Boardie Takeover for 2019 are TheCityIsOurs. They are joined by relative local boys and favourites of ours here at Rock Sins, Nottingham metalcore riffers The Five Hundred. Taking things north of the border and a bit more progressive are Scottish outfit Neshiima, while rising stars and favourites of Fireball Whiskey, Sweet Little Machine are also on board for the 2019 Boardie Takeover. Completing the line up for the biggest ever Boardie Takeover are O’Deus, Dead Man’s Whiskey and Haxan.
