After the Download Festival 2020 announcement on Monday, it’s now the turn of Slam Dunk 2020 to unveil their first festival bands.
Headlining a UK festival for the first time, and making Slam Dunk their exclusive UK festival appearance for 2020 are Don Broco. One of Rock Sins’ favourite bands, State Champs, also seem to have landed a prime spot on the Slam Dunk 2020 line up, while there are also nine more bands to announce today. They are The Wonder Years, Mayday Parade, Ice Nine Kills, ISSUES, Four Year Strong, Knuckle Puck, Motion City Soundtrack, Hands Like Houses and Bayside.
Slam Dunk Festival director Ben Ray is very pleased about the fact they’ve been able to promote a band who have played the festival many times over the year to new headliner status:
“2019 was a big year for us, with the festival moving to fully outdoor sites. It was a massive success so I’m pleased that we are returning to them. Don Broco headlining is pretty special for me as they are the definition of a homegrown band! They first played in 2011 on the new bands stage and have risen through the ranks to the top of the bill!”
Slam Dunk Festival 2020 will return to last years’ locations in Leeds and Hatfield on the 23rd of May (Leeds) and 24th of May (Hatfield). Tickets range from £59 for limited early bird tickets up to £99 for VIP tickets. They will go on sale this Friday (27th September) at 10am from the official festival website www.slamdunkfestival.com.
Stay tuned to Rock Sins for further Slam Dunk updates, as well as news on Download, Bloodstock and many other festivals heading into 2020!
