Former Mallory Knox vocalist Mikey Chapman is back with a brand new band, Black Sky Research.
After leaving Mallory Knox back in 2018 Mikey Chapman has now teamed up with songwriter and guitarist Luke Hicks, guitarist Rich Watson and bassist Lee Erinmez in a new venture that goes by the name of Black Sky Research.
The band’s first single Light Up The Sky, out now, has an explosive chorus and brings in the band’s influences of the likes of A Perfect Circle and Fightstar.

Light Up The Sky is the first single from the band’s upcoming 5-track EP, due for release this summer, of which the songs follow the events of a night in chronological order telling a tale of chaos and destruction.
On the single the band said; “It’s been exciting yet refreshing working on Black Sky Research. Each of us have such a wide range of influences, and along with the method of writing to a story, it has enabled us to be really open with our creativity. We’re stoked to finally be sharing this with the world.”
In support of the EP release the band are planning a tour in September. We’ll keep you posted when we find out more.
