Eager to come up with solutions to solve the void of live music in the lives of so many of us, Live Nation have today announced a brand new series of events – Utilita Live From The Drive-In. This will be a series of drive-in concerts, with ticket holders having a designated area around their car where they can stand or sit (in their own camping chairs), while observing social distancing. Venues will be across the UK, with locations in places such as Milton Keynes, Newmarket, Edinburgh and Bolton already confirmed, with more to follow.
While the acts announced are mostly mainstream acts, there are a few acts from the rock world getting in on the act. Most notably is the inclusion of everyones’ favourite Welsh ragga metal outfit Skindred. Benji and co have signed up to appear at the following venues:
August 3rd – Edinburgh – Royal Highland Centre
August 4th – Leeds – Leeds East Airport
August 6th – Liverpool – Central Docks
August 7th – Bristol – Filton Airfield
August 8th – Newmarket – Newmarket Racecourse
August 9th – Bolton – University of Bolton Stadium
August 10th – Cheltenham – Cheltenham Racecourse
August 12th – Milton Keynes – National Bowl
August 14th – Lincoln – Lincolnshire Showground
August 16th – Darlington – Teeside International Airport
All Skindred shows are 9pm start.
Ticket prices are TBC, but will go on sale on Monday 22nd of June at 10am. There will be two types of ticket – standard, and premium. Premium will ensure a spot in the first three rows of cars closest to the stage. Each show will be limited to 300 cars in order to provide everyone with a good view of the stage and/or big screens. Electro-rock legend Gary Numan has also signed up to be part of Utilita! Gary and his band will perform at the following venues:
