On the eve of the release of their new, self-titled album, allegations came to light involving The Ghost Inside bassist Jim Riley having used a racial slur against a bus driver several years ago.
The allegations were proven to be true as acknowledged by Jim Riley himself in a series of Tweets issued last night (June 5th). They began with an acknowledgement of the situation, and after several other tweets, a declaration to try to improve himself, whilst accepting that this may not be enough.
Perhaps expecting what was to transpire, The Ghost Inside issued a statement earlier today (June 6th) stating that they had parted ways with Jim. They acknowledged not dealing with the incident in the proper way at the time, and are trying to learn from their past mistake. It can be read in full on the tweet below.
If there are any further developments on this situation, we will provide updates as and when they are available.
