Forming in 2007 and taking influence from The Goonies, Parisian pop-punk group, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Have gained quite the following with a blend of pop-punk melodies, an anthemic sound, and hardcore breakdowns.
After signing with Fearless Records and releasing their debut LP, Something for Nothing, in 2011; the band went from strength to strength. A year of touring which included spots supporting Miss May I, Attack Attack! and Woe, Is me, as well as hitting up the iconic Vans Warped Tour was followed by the band hitting the studio to create their follow up album, Pardon My French.
Pardon My French is a high energy album that not only stole the hearts of fans, but also received high praise from critics, debuting at number 15 on Billboard’s Alternative Album chart and at number 20 on Top Rock Albums.
“Pardon My French has played a big part in our journey as a band – it helped us develop a sound and identity of our own,” says frontman Bertrand Poncet. “Seven years later, we can still relate to it and our fan community is still very tied to this album, so we’re very happy to announce a second, limited pressing on vinyl with new colors. It’s a good warm-up to get your inner heavy pop-punk soul ready before the new music drops.”
Seven years on from this release, C!NCC! will be re-releasing a 500 run, limited edition vinyl for the beloved, Pardon My French. The vinyl features fan favourites, Restart, Taking Chances and Haters Gonna Hate and will be pressed on a gorgeous blend of black, blue, white and red splatter effect.
Although touring plans have been put on hold, Poncet revealed back in May that the band are working on brand new music.
