Everyone’s favourite ska-punk band, Less Than Jake, has dropped new single, Dear Me, taken from their forthcoming full-length Silver Linings (December 11thvia Pure Noise Records).
The band describe Dear Me as “a tribute to a few special people in my life who are no longer around. What it is like to reach the impasse of where words can’t convey emotions. This is my internal struggle to understand their internal struggle.”
Nearly 30 years into an impressive career, and having toured with the likes of Blink182 and Linkin Park, Silver Linings sees LTJ’s first full-length release since 2013’s See The Light. The record explores self-examination through someone else’s prismon track The Test, as well as addressing the loss of friends via distance and tragedy on the latest single Dear Me.
In a world so turbulent right now, it doesn’t go unnoticed that LTJ’s forthcoming release is titled Silver Linings: it’s the record we need to remind us that there is always hope and triumph in sight.
