Yes, you read correctly, stepping up to the Christmas plate with their seasonal song This Is Christmas, are multi-platinum, four-time Grammy-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls. The new single is taken from their first festive album, It’s Christmas All Over, out everywhere now via Warner Records.
Alongside the track You Ain’t Getting Nothin’, This Is Christmas is the second original offering from the album, amongst a flurry of classic interpretations on holiday favourites including Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Let It Snow.
With a nod to Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas, the blustery cinematic music video for This Is Christmas, documents the age-old story of the traditional journey home. Which sees the duo, just like the merry jingle, arriving just in time for the festivities. Singing along the way all the reasons why this drive home is so dearly important. Watch the video below:
