This is not the news we wanted to kick off the first Monday of 2021 with. Alexi Laiho, former guitarist and frontman of Children Of Bodom and current singer / axeslinger of Bodom After Midnight has sadly passed away aged 41. Alexi’s death was announced this morning by Bodom After Midnight’s record label Napalm Records. The full announcement from Napalm can be read below:

The three songs recorded so far by Bodom After Midnight will be released at some point in the future in tribute to their lost friend.

Across the team we had the privilege of seeing Alexi perform with Children Of Bodom many times, most recently with Megadeth, Lamb Of God and Sylosis at Wembley Arena a few years back, and he will be much missed.
