Fighting For His Right, Is Matt Peach And His Protest Song – ‘Cut Our Teeth’

Putting up a fight against the closure of grassroots music venues is Matt Peach, who is wearing his heart on his sleeve and waving two fingers in the air, with the aptly titled Cut Our Teeth. Filled with sea shanty goodness, Cut Our Teeth is the melodic protest anthem we all need, that will have you singing: ‘I can see, I can see, I can see the enemy’.

Listen to Cut Our Teeth below:

In Peach’s own words: “Cut Our Teeth was written in protest against the constant closing of grassroots music venues, and crucially, in celebration of these vital places. Every venue I used to play at as a student in my home town has closed, and the same is happening all over the UK. The song was put together in the first Covid lockdown of 2020, a crisis that’s had an even greater destructive effect on small venues”.

They say proof is in the pudding and with the accompanying music video for Cut Our Teeth being filmed at The Hairy Dog Derby, you’re served 3minutes 17seconds of it!
