‘Disposable Life’, The New EP from Knuckle Puck Teased With First Single ‘Gasoline’

Popular Chicago band Knuckle Puck contemplate the value of life in their new EP Disposable life, a homecoming to their founding sound and roots.

Knuckle Puck decided to see the pandemic as an opportunity. Despite the struggles we all no doubt experienced, Knuckle Puck shed some light on that year of isolation, unable to tour and forced to stop working as usual, the five musicians set to creating Disposable Life.

Comprised of five songs, including a cover of Blink-182’s Here’s your letter, this EP opens with their most recent single Gasoline Calling out “With every day spent in the shade, think I’ll watch it burn/Throw gasoline on an open flame,” the newest single drives home the meaning behind the EP, celebrating the past, while looking to the future, via pop-punk and power chords. You can stream Gasoline here.

Speaking about the EP, vocalist Joe Taylor said, “It feels like we’re kind of rebooting Knuckle Puck…Making this music has been the most fun we’ve had in a really long time.
“It was fresh and exciting again,” says Taylor. “It was like ‘Oh man, this feels like it did in 2013.’ We captured some of that magic.”

Disposable Life (produced by Seth Henderson) is set to be released February 4th 2022 on Wax Bodega (pre-order here), ahead of their UK and EU tour in the Spring of 2022. Alongside their tour, Knuckle Puck will also play Slam Dunk Festival 2022 on the 3rd and 4th of June. Tickets for all Knuckle Puck shows can be purchased here.
