Slam Dunk Festival really is spoiling us this year, with even more bands announced for its 16th festival this year. The latest instalment of bands includes Cancer Bats, The Bronx, The Summer Set, Point North, Mom Jeans and As December Falls, with even more bands yet to be announced!
Taking place a little later in the year (than it’s usual May dates) to align with the June Bank Holiday, Slam Dunk Festival 2022 will take place on Friday 3rd June at Temple Newsam Park (Slam Dunk North) and Saturday 4th June at Hatfield Park (Slam Dunk South).
This year’s festival will see the return of Alexisonfire to the stage, alongside fellow headliners Sum 41, Dropkick Murphys and Neck Deep.
Excited to be back in the UK, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats said:
“Super stoked to announce that our RETURN TO THE UK WILL BE AT SLAM DUNK 2022! There’s so many rad new things for Cancer Bats this year, we can’t wait to share it with all of our UK pals and what better place than THE BIGGEST PARTY THEY’RE ALL GOING TO BE AT! ALSO It must be noted that there’s going to be some serious CANADA vibes on our stage and we’re pumped to be a part of that!”
Also making their return to the UK is The Summer Set after their hiatus, which began back in 2017. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to return to Slam Dunk Festival after all of these years. It’s been way too long since we’ve been to the UK, our old home away from home, and we’re so excited to finally come back and play some shows across the pond,” says Brian Logan Dales.
