Slam Dunk Festival has announced a new wave of acts that will be appearing at this year’s festival.
Newly announced names include Beartooth, Counterparts, 3OH!3, Set It Off, Nova Twins, With Confidence, Magnolia Park and Lil Lotus.
These acts will be joining an already stellar line-up of huge names including headliners Alexisonfire, SUM 41, Dropkick Murphys and Neck Deep. Some of the very best bands from the world of rock, pop-punk and emo will also be joining the alternative party such as Motion City Soundtrack, The Used, Pennywise, The Story So Far, Silverstein and more.
Returning to the festival for the first time in five years, Ohio-based rock band Beartooth explain “We’re beyond excited to return to Slam Dunk. It’s a killer festival with killer bands and it’s an honour to be a part of the line-up. Like a lot of bands, it’s been years since we’ve been able to play in the UK. I promise we’re gonna do everything in our power to kick major ass. See ya there!”
On the contrary, this will be Nova Twins’ very first Slam Dunk Festival. Nominated for ‘Best Band In The World’ and ‘Best Band From The UK’ at this year’s NME Awards, their set is not to be missed. The duo say “We’re so excited to be playing Slam Dunk for the first time. We’re always hearing how great it is, so can’t wait to experience that energy first hand!”
Celebrating its 16th year, Slam Dunk Festival 2022 will host its biggest line-up to date with even more still to be announced. It was recently confirmed however that The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will no longer be appearing at the festival due to disbanding.
This year’s event has been moved from its usual May Bank Holiday weekend to align with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, taking place on Friday 3rd June (North – Temple Newsam Park, Leeds) and Saturday 4th June (South – Hatfield Park, Hatfield).
