Kicking off the new year and pulling more excitement for forthcoming album This Is Why, Paramore have shared their third single C’est Comme Ça. With a literal translation from French as “It’s like that” our more familiar english expression would be closer to “that’s just how it is”
Talking on the track, Hayely Williams shared, “I’m trying to get un-addicted to a survival narrative. The idea of imminent doom is less catastrophic to me than not knowing anything about the future or my part in it. The guys and I are all in much more stable places in our lives than ever before. And somehow that is harder for me to adjust to.”
This latest track definitely has a different feel to it but doesn’t take anything away from the excitement. With spoken word parts throughout combines with Haley’s stunning vocals, it’s different in the best possible way. One thing is certain, Paramore are just creating what they want to and loving every second of it.
Since January 2022 when Paramore revealed they were recording together, fans have been ecstatic about the return of such an iconic band. Over the years, Paramore have secured a huge influence over generations.
With less than a month until release the anticipation is high, and any glimpse at this new era is hugely welcome. C’est Comme Ça shows off a further different side of Paramore experimenting with a new sound.
