Empire State Bastard – the new side project of Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil has built up one hell of a new metalcore band with Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon, Mike Vennart of Oceansize and Dave Lombardo from Slayer.
We caught them on the final night of their debut tour at Camden’s Underworld, where opened up with their first release single, Harvest, before laying out another 12 heavy sweaty songs for us. Check out our photo gallery from the night captured by Dan Lansburgh!
Empire State Bastard will be making an appearance at several UK festivals this year including will Download, 2000trees and ArcTanGent as well as Hellfest in France and Norway’s Malakoff Rockfestival.
