Reunited 90s alt-rockers Dogstar have released the second single from their upcoming comeback, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, out 6th October via Dillon Street Records.
Contrasted with laid back first single “Everything Turns Around“, “Breach” is a more hard-rock leaning track from the trio of Robert Mailhouse, Keanu Reeves and Bret Domrose. Straightforward riffs and a focus on the low end of Reeves’s bass drive the song forward with distorted backing vocals from drummer Domrose throughout the track.
Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees will be the first Dogstar album since Happy Ending in 2000, and will be supported by an extended tour, with the band currently trekking through North America. The full tracklist is as follows:
01. Blonde
02. How The Story Ends
03. Everything Turns Around
04. Overhang
05. Dillon St.
06. Lily
07. Lust
08. Glimmer
09. Sunrise
10. Sleep
11. Upside
12. Breach

These guys have come along way since I saw them years ago as opening for Jon Bon Jovi. Then I could only hum Harbor Lights; now I find myself singing along to Breach/Sleep and Everything Turns Around. And yeah, the bass player is pretty good!
