Defects have announced three special headline shows for the release of their debut album, Modern Error. The Heavy Metal band will be playing at The Old Blue Last, London on 28 May, Asylum 2 in Birmingham on 30 May, and Satans Hollow in Manchester on 31 May.
Guitarist Luke Genders said of the forthcoming shows: “We can’t wait to play these headline shows supporting our Album release. Our last headline outing was a great time, and we aim to top that this time. We’re hot off the tails of 2 UK and EU tours with Of Mice and Men and Orbit Culture, and with those shows being sold out prior to our announcement, this is the perfect time for our fans to see us. It will be our longest set to date with a couple of surprises and exclusive merchandise only available at these shows.”
Defects’ debut album is a deeply personal project that is set for release on May 24th by Mascot Records. The band has already shared three songs from the album: Broken Bloodlines, Lockdown and Modern Error. Lockdown is a song that explores the challenges of mental health. Meanwhile, Broken Bloodlines is a powerful anthem about leaving behind negative influences in your life. You can view the music video for the latter below.
The announcement comes off the back of an exhilarating European Tour with Orbit Culture Last month. This was followed by a series of shows in Europe towards the end of 2023 with Of Mice & Men. Fans can also catch Defects at Download Festival. Additionally they will be playing at various festivals across Europe including; Grasspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, the Rockharz Festival in Germany and Rock the Lakes in Switzerland.
