As soon as James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson walked on stage at Bristol Sounds 2024, they brought 100% energy with them. Busted went straight into performing Air Hostess and the crowd suddenly got taken back to nostalgic 2003. Playing classic songs including What I Go To School For and Crashed The Wedding, there wasn’t a single person attending that wasn’t singing or dancing.
There seems to be no limit on age with seeing Busted shows, as a variety of all ages were there; from toddlers to grandparents. With the simple instruction of “put your phone lights in the air” from Charlie, the chords to Sleeping With The Light On filled the Canons Marsh Amphitheatre and a sea of lights appeared from the crowd. While Charlie put some of his Fightstar screams to use, Matt and James were jumping around the stage and interacting with the crowd. After ending with Year 3000, it’s clear that Busted are stronger than ever and despite how old we get, we can always count on James, Matt and Charlie to bring the party and take us back to our childhood.
