Walking into the Piece Hall tonight was like walking back in time to 2002. A sea of baggy jeans, wallet chains and fishnets were to be seen, with the crowd chomping at the bit to bear witness to Korn’s first headline show in the county of West Yorkshire since 2008(?!) With Liverpool’s very own Loathe as the support, it was up to Jonathan Davis and his motley crew of moshers to bring the noise, and bring the noise they did. Playing a set chock full of absolute bangers, they made it perfectly clear that nu-metal certainly isn’t dead, and if it ever was, they’ve brought it back to life.

Korn play their second UK summer show tomorrow, at London’s Gunnersbury Park.
