In a somewhat shocking turn of events earlier this week, Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes have announced via social media they’re taking a break after their current UK/EU tour following a nine year musical career as one of the most iconic names in British punk rock.
During their near decade at the forefront of the UK punk scene, the band have released five studio albums the most recent of which, “Dark Rainbow”, was released in January of this year. However, even more recently Frank Carter has joined The Sex Pistols, filling the shoes of the iconic John Lydon as their frontman on a whistle stop tour around the UK. This has left some fans suggesting The Rattlesnakes’ ‘hiatus’ is related to Carter’s change of path.
Whatever the reason for the break, members of The Rattlesnakes’ online community group ‘The Snakepit’ are distraught. Many took to social media to voice their sadness however fans remain hopeful that there is more to come from The Rattlesnakes, or at least Frank Carter, in whatever new venture is coming his way.
