Not content with providing heavy metal fans with a weekend stacked with some of the world’s finest extreme music every summer. Bloodstock announced their first ever ‘Winter Gathering’ event today, set to take place at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton on December 6th!
Having long ago graduated from indoor stages into the open air behemoth Bloodstock has since become. The new day festival marks a return to their roots and is sure to set some pulses racing this winter.
Swedish doom metal royalty, Candlemass. Who are celebrating 40 years of bringing metal mayhem to the masses this year are set to take top billing and had this to say about their appearance at the new event-
“Candlemass are proud to be a part of the Bloodstock Winter Gathering! We have always felt welcome on British soil and we’re excited to be there once again and deliver our special brand of Swedish doom metal! See ya all soon… Love you!!!”
They’ll be joined by a stellar line-up, including thrash metal veterans, Venom Inc. YouTube sensations Raised By Owls, Scottish speed metal demons Hellripper. As well as King Kraken and Tortured Demon rounding out the main stage.
That’s not all though, with the indoor festivals second stage set to feature performances from the likes of Red Method, Thuum and Hellbearer. With more acts to be announced over the coming months!
