Bristol’s Rising Metallers ‘DYE’ Unleash New Single ‘Herd’

‘DYE’ are not here to pull punches! The Bristol based, female fronted 5 piece are releasing the blistering new single ‘Herd’ on March 14th. The band have been making waves with their powerful, feminist expression of frustration toward traditional generational expectations.

‘Herd’ is a track full of brutal and raw potential, disgusting, groove filled guitars and the guttural vocals. You can hear a rage reminiscent of Gallows -‘Grey Britain’, a more brash and volatile ‘IDLES’ or the gritty guitar work on KoRn’s seminal album ‘Follow the Leader’. The stabbing vocals blend perfectly with the ominous and creepy guitar work, leaving you feeling like you’ve been smacked in the face and left to bleed.

The band’s debut single, ‘Rat,’ gained traction across BBC Introducing and beyond, earning
radio play and unprompted PR coverage from their electrifying live performances. Now, with
‘Herd’ set for release, the band also has three unannounced festivals lined up for this year.

With a sound described as “Korn-inspired, bone-rattling riffs” and vocals that blend “unbridled
metal aggression with the searing intensity of feminist punk,” DYE is quickly capturing the
attention of the music world. As James Threlfall of BBC Introducing puts it, they are “bursting
onto our radar in a big way.”

For Fans of: Gallows, KoRn, Idles, Flyleaf
You can catch ‘DYE’ at Rough Trade Bristol, Wednesday March 19th, supporting BEX.

  1. Great review Tom, great 2nd single by Dye – already moving forward from ‘Rat’…destined to be a masive live favourite.
