Hundred Reasons have announced that their upcoming headline performance at the Royal
Albert Hall on May 7th will mark the band’s final ever headline show. The iconic post-hardcore
band, which has been a mainstay of the UK music scene for over two decades, will celebrate
their 25th anniversary in what promises to be a memorable and unique performance.
Lead singer, Colin Doran revealed the band’s decision to call it a day, explaining, “This show
was always on our bucket list, so tying it in with 25 years of the band seemed like a great way to
mark this milestone. But the more we planned for this show, the more we started to feel that there wasn’t anything else we wanted to do beyond this.”
Doran went on to emphasize that the band’s decision was not taken lightly. “We released an
amazing album in 2023 and had an awesome tour finishing at the Eventim Apollo. We’ve seen
bands run themselves into the ground, and it’s not something we’ve ever felt okay with. So with
this in mind, we’ve decided that the show at The Royal Albert Hall will be our last ever headline
show and to leave on a high.”
The show, which is set to feature a live string orchestra, will be a true celebration of Hundred
Reasons’ legacy, including deep cuts from their extensive catalog and reimagined
arrangements of classic tracks. “It’s going to be a celebration of all things HR,” Doran said.
“We’re excited to bring something new to the table with a live string section.” The night will also
feature opening act Rival Schools, the iconic post-hardcore band from New York, adding to the
anticipation for what is sure to be a historic night.
Hundred Reasons’ 2023 album, Glorious Sunset, their first in 15 years, was met with critical
acclaim, and the band’s return to the stage was marked by a string of live shows culminating in
a sold-out performance at the Apollo. Their reunion tour and the success of Glorious Sunset
have reinvigorated the band’s fanbase. In addition to the album, the band also released Live
Fast, Die Ugly: The Hundred Reasons Podcast, a four-part series that chronicles the band’s
journey from their first show in 2000 to their recent reunion, offering fans an in-depth look at the
highs and lows of their career.
Tickets for the final headline show at the Royal Albert Hall are available now, with the event
promising to be a fitting end to the band’s legacy. With only a few remaining tickets left, fans are
urged to secure their spot at this once-in-a-lifetime performance.
Hundred Reasons’ final headline performance is not just a goodbye; it’s a celebration of their
remarkable journey and an opportunity to witness one of the UK’s most influential bands leave
on their own terms.
