Following their billing as part of Black Sabbaths ‘Back To The Beginning’ farewell show this July. Bay Area legends, Slayer have announced their long awaited return to the UK this summer. With two massive headline shows at Blackweir Fields in Cardiff and Londons Finnsbury Park on July 3rd and July 6th respectively.
For nearly fifty years, Slayer have been at the forefront of thrash metal. Defining the genre and inspiring countless artists to follow in their ferocious footsteps. However, after decades on the road, the band hung up their leathers and spikes back in 2019. Taking a much needed break from full time touring. While they have stepped back into the limelight here and there for limited US festival appearances over the last couple of years. The two forthcoming shows mark the bands first full campaign in Europe for six years.
They won’t be taking to the stage by themselves this July either. With Viking powerhouses Amon Amarth, fellow thrash metal luminaries Anthrax, former Unholy Alliance stablemates Mastodon and Hatebreed and hotly tipped newcomers Neckbreakker rounding out the bill. Promising two days of absolutely crushing and relentless heavy metal for UK fans.

The two massive open air concerts are the biggest headline shows Slayer has ever undertaken in the UK. Promising to celebrate four decades of carnage in historic fashion. With a career spanning setlist and next-level stage production. Slayer have two nights of thrash metal fury in store that will not be soon forgotten!
Tickets for both events are set to go on sale at 10am on Friday March 7th. For more information on the upcoming shows you can head over to Slayers official website. Where you can also check out the bands exhaustive virtual museum. Or, alternatively you can stay up to date by following them on social media.
