Japanese metallers Babymetal have officially announced the release of their highly anticipated
new album, METAL FORTH, due for global release on June 13th via Capitol Records. The
album will feature contributions from a host of artists including Poppy, Spiritbox, Tom Morello,
Bloodywood, Polyphia, and Slaughter to Prevail. In addition to these collaborations, the
album will also include the band’s hugely successful track “RATATATA” featuring Electric
Callboy, which has already garnered millions of streams across all platforms. Fans can expect
another new single, “from me to u” featuring Poppy, dropping this Friday, April 4th.
The release of METAL FORTH marks a significant moment in Babymetal’s career as they
celebrate their 15th anniversary this year. On April 1st, known as the band’s annual “FOX DAY,”
they unveiled the highly anticipated LEGEND MAP—a symbolic roadmap to their future, with a
particular focus on their plans for 2025. This includes the upcoming album release, as well as
an extensive world tour.
Babymetal will kick off the European leg on May 10th with their first-ever headline arena tour
across the UK and Europe. The tour will feature 12 shows in eight countries, with special
support from Poppy and Bambie Thug. The final night of this leg will take place at London’s O2
Arena on May 30th. They will make history as the first Japanese group to headline a
performance at the venue.
On June 13th, the same day METAL FORTH is released, the band will embark on their biggest
North American tour to date, beginning in Houston. The 24-date tour will feature support from
Black Veil Brides, Jinjer, and Bloodywood on select dates, hitting major cities such as
Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco before concluding in
Phoenix on July 23rd. Tickets and VIP packages are available now through Babymetal’s official
website.
Additionally, Babymetal has announced plans to add more arena shows in Japan and an Asia
tour, continuing their global reach after previous headline outings and high-profile support
performances for artists like Lady Gaga, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Avenged
Sevenfold.
METAL FORTH follows the band’s 2019 release METAL GALAXY and their 2023 concept
album THE OTHER ONE. The latter album, described by Revolver as a journey through parallel
universes and the “Metalverse,” explored complex themes of truth and deception. Over the
years, BABYMETAL has continued to captivate audiences worldwide with their bold, innovative
take on modern heavy music.
Pre-orders and pre-saves for METAL FORTH are now live. Fans can expect to hear a mix of
classic BABYMETAL elements along with fresh, collaborative sounds that promise to redefine
the band’s sonic identity.
