Rock Sins Top Ten Record Store Day 2025 Releases

Spring is just around the corner. Which means Record Store Day, the industry’s annual vinyl collectors paradise isn’t far away either!

Scheduled for Saturday April 12th, Record Store Day has grown exponentially since its inception back in 2007. With scalpers everywhere and the myriad of titles available on vinyl, CD and cassette increasing every year. We’ve scoured through this years list and picked out ten titles you should be keeping an eye out for.

Remember, these titles are only available over the counter, from your local independent record store. So there’s no point cruising Amazon or waiting outside your local hmv. You can check out the RSD website to find your local participating retailer here.

A Day To Remember- Attack Of The Killer B-Sides

Dropping just in time for it’s fifteenth anniversary. ADTR’s third EP is getting the full Record Store Day treatment this year. Pressed on coloured 10″ wax and featuring the bands covers of Kelly Clarkson hit, Since U Been Gone and Cable Cars over my head. As well as their acoustic version of Another Song About The Weekend.

Black Stone Cherry- This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD album. The band really likes it.

Packed with an undisclosed quantity of b-sibes, live tracks and rarities hand picked from their expansive back catalogue. Black Stone Cherry’s contribution to this years list is as enigmatic as it is amusingly titled. Available on CD & vinyl, we think this is one to keep an eye on. Especially seeing as the CD likely won’t break the bank like some of its vinyl counterparts! We wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a digital release to follow though.

Dinosaur Jr- Guess I’ll Crawl (Live In Santa Monica)

Never previously officially released. This classic slice of Dinosuar Jr was captured during the mid-nineties. Becoming a fan favourite in bootleg form over the last two decades. It is now finally getting the love it deserves thanks to Cherry Red Records. Who have achieved legendary status among record collectors worldwide for the quality of their releases. We think this is a release grunge fans are definitely going to want to scoop up!

The Hives- Tyrannosaurus Hives

Despite having fallen from the peak of their popularity in the early 00’s. Tyrannosaurus Hives is still an absolutely killer indie rock album. Having sold nearly of a quarter of a million copies upon on its original release thanks to singles like Walk Idiot Walk and Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones. This RSD exclusive pressing will be on split white & gold wax. So while we expect a standard black pressing to follow soon, if you’ve got to have it coloured vinyl, this is the release to grab!

Motorhead- The Lost Tapes Vol.6

Forever louder than everything else. Motorheads Lost Tapes series has been one of Record Store Days unsung heroes over the past few years. These vinyl releases from the bands seemingly bottomless collection of live recordings have been true RSD exclusives. There is a CD box set of the first five volumes available, but if you want it on wax, you’ve got to get in the queue. Vol.6 looks particularly tasty too. Pressed on purple vinyl and recorded in Berlin, where Motorhead long enjoyed almost hometown levels of hero status. This is sure to be worth getting out of bed early for on April 12th!

My Ruin- Speak & Destroy

The weekends obligatory throwback moment, Speak & Destroy by My Ruin has never had an official vinyl release. So fans of this cult classic will no doubt be all over the limited edition black and white marble pressing. We expect a standard release to be waiting in the wings, if the sales justify it. However, if you grew up in the late nineties, the nostalgia for My Ruin’s brand of DIY in your face attitude will make this one too cool an opportunity to pass up.

Oasis- Time Flies… 1994-2009

With the Gallagher brothers finally reunited and set to take the UK by storm this year, there’s never been a better time to delve into Oasis’s catalogue of hits. So while a ‘best of’ collection might not have the most street cred among hardcore collectors. We still think this is a release that’s very much worth picking up. Limited to 15,000 copies worldwide and pressed on four coloured LP’s. This set hasn’t been available on vinyl since 2010 and is sure to be one of the days top targets for scalpers thanks the the bands aforementioned reunion.

Post Malone- Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana

Whatever you might think of Post Malones performance of Nirvana classics like Heart Shaped Box and About a Girl. Taken from Post Malones benefit stream featuring Blink-182 alumni Travis Barker on drums. This is set to one of the weekends most talked about and scalped drops thanks to the mainstream crossover appeal. Available on yellow vinyl, with no hints of a general release in future. We’d take the gamble and add this to our collections in a heartbeat.

Rage Against The Machine- Live on Tour 1993

Joining an impressive list of previous RSD releases from the Californian quartet. Live on Tour 1993 is a compilation of unproduced and unmolested recordings from the bands explosive debut world tour. Pressed on two LP’s with a fancy etched D-side, this nineties time capsule promises to capture Rage Against The Machine at their uncompromising best. Their previous RSD releases have never found their way into the racks as a reissue later on either. Meaning April 12th likely to be the only chance to add this one to your collection!

Skindred- Union Black

Last, but by no means least. Another record enjoying it’s first ever outing on vinyl this year thanks to RSD. Union Black by Skindred is an album that shouldn’t need much introduction. Originally released back in 2011, Union Black features some of the genre bending Welsh metal maniacs biggest hits. Including the likes of Warning, Doom Riff and Cut Dem. The yellow and black splatter vinyl promises to be just wild enough to match frontman Benji Webbe’s stage outfits too. Making this a must have for Skindred fans.

For more information on these releases and everything else on this years list, you can head over to Record Store Days official website. We’ll see you in the queue on April 12th!
