Having captivated everyone at Villa Park, as well as a worldwide audience just a couple of weeks ago, with his incredible cover of Black Sabbath classic, Changes. Yungblud has taken things a step further this week. Releasing his breathtaking tribute to the godfathers of heavy metal as a single.
Recorded live at Back to the Beginning. Featuring Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, II from Sleep Token and longtime Ozzy bandmate Adam Wakeman. Immortalising such a historic moment for everyone to enjoy would be enough for anybody else. However, in an extremely classy move. The rising star has also pledged that every penny made from the singles release will be donated to Cure Parkinsons, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. Adding to the legacy of what has already been billed as the highest grossing charity concert of all time.
Speaking about the single, Yungblud said, “This was hands down the biggest moment of my entire life. I got to stand on stage and honour one of my heroes, and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.”
He went on to add, “The best part about this release is that we can take such a monumental moment, immortalise it on tape, release it and donate all the money to such important causes in Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. This is what Rock and roll is about. Stream it, buy it, add it to your playlist – let’s raise some f*cking money.”
His amazing rendition of the Black Sabbath favourite didn’t go unnoticed by the Prince of Darkness himself either. Who said, “He did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.” High praise indeed!
