Exit Ten – Remember the Day

9 Overall Score

Ahead of their new tour, with an appearance at hellfire II Festival lined up, Rocksins decided to review exit ten’s first studio album “Remember the Day”.

Exit ten are a 5 piece band from reading, tipped on the edge of super stardom, with their debut album ‘Remember the Day’ being nothing short of genius.

Their first track on the album, “technically alive” showcases the bands vocal strength, as well as melodic strength. The catchy vocal and guitar hooks leave you wanting more from exit ten, and also leaves you wondering why more people dont know about this amazing band.

But by no means is this album a one song wonder, the second track god speed smacks you in the mouth and makes you bang your head. God Speed is a heavier song than technically alive but still has great vocal hooks “they’ll be honest, we’ll be relieved, they’ve broken their promise is nothing to anger me”.

The band states influences from Killswitch Engage, and this is very visible in the next track “Resume Ignore”, powerful guitar riffs, with a great meaningful vocal over the top, with plenty of power in the chorus.

Standout Moments:

Technically Alive has to be the best track on this album, followed closely by resume ignore. The tracks showcase just how good exit ten are, and show just how big their going to be.

Tagline of the album:

“Technically alive, just not inside” – the very catchiest of lyrics, after reviewing this cd, this track has made it into my top tracks playlist, because i cant stop singing it!

Conclusion:

Exit ten seem to be a band set for great things, and leave you with a feeling, “why arent they massive yet?”. soon, very soon if Remember the day is anything to go by.
