How do you kick off a show featuring two of the biggest bands loosely associated with the “metalcore” tag ever to hit the UK? By adding one of the most promising bands to come along in that field in the last few years. Ohio five piece Miss May I are delighted to announce they will be supporting Killswitch Engage & Trivium on their upcoming co-headline tour of the UK.
Understandably, Miss May I are rather excited about the prospect of hitting the UK with Jesse Leach, Adam D, Matt Heafy and co:
“Finally we are heading back to the UK and Europe and we are not alone, we are so excited to play with metal legends Trivium and Killswitch Engage. This will be the most metal tour over seas for us to date!”
Miss May I are currently hard at work putting the finishing touches to their next album which is scheduled for an early 2014 release. Whether it will be out in time for the tour is not yet known but the band are working with legendary producer Terry Date (Pantera, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon) so the end results will be very interesting to hear.
If you thought that was enough, think again. The band who describe themselves as “Blue collar thrash metal”, the mighty Battlecross will be opening up all shows on the tour. Having toured with Trivium and Killswitch in the US previously on the Trespass Festival, the UK will be now be treated to the power of Battlecross in the flesh. Not familiar with Battlecross, check them out below and prepare to have your head blown off:

Battlecross also had this to say about heading to the UK for the tour:
“Battlecross is so stoked to hit the UK with Killswitch Engage, Trivium & Miss May I as our first overseas tour ever and thank them for having us on this awesome tour! What an honor it is to share our first UK experience with these bands and we’re ready to thrash with you, our new friends! Thank you all who have been waiting so patiently for Battlecross to come overseas, and we promise that it will be worth the wait!
