It has been six long years since Slayer hung up their instruments and called it a day. Bringing their monumental career to a close on November 30th at The Forum in L.A. With the image of guitarist Kerry King’s chains left on the stage after the gig remaining etched in the minds of metal fans…
Following a wonderful Friday at Download 2025 (read our full review and see photos here), Team Rock Sins reassembled on the hallowed Donington turf for an eagerly awaited middle Saturday. The high point of many a Download of years gone by, this years’ mid point of the festival had one of the most eclectic line…
We all know that Download Festival starts as soon as the gates open on a Wednesday lunchtime. With many fantastic events like The Takeover and some of our friends doing awesome DJ sets, District X and The Doghouse are definitely the place to be for the early arrivals. For Download 2025, it felt like the…
Our first and probably heaviest band of the day. Defects waste very little time hyping up the crowd over on Main Stage East. Starting off their set with End of Days, it doesn’t take long for a serious circle pit to open up. To the visible delight of frontman Tony Maue who barks repeated orders…
Kicking off the day with some mid-2000s nostalgia, Hit The Lights bring their brand of pop-punk to an early crowd, but perhaps not with the impact they hoped for. Their tunes feel a little dated: unsurprising considering most of their set is taken from 2006’s ‘This Is A Stick Up…’, and despite the sugary, upbeat hooks, it…

I think we can all agree that at a certain age, the prospect of a 4 band bill on a Thursday night is not that appealing. When the gig in question is the first date on the first ever Make Them Suffer UK headline tour…well that changes things quite a bit. Rolling into The Engine…
It’s a hot spring day in Southampton. The Dollyrots & Don’t Panic have rolled into town with Danny Gruff in toe for another night of pop punk fun on their current UK tour. The vibes inside The Joiners are sweaty but immaculate as everyone is here for a good time. There is something else a…
This was the package tour the UK had been waiting for, three big hitters from the 00’s – Godsmack performing their biggest UK headline show to date and bringing along the mighty P.O.D and Drowning Pool as support. Sure enough, Hammersmith Apollo is full to the brim by 7pm, giving openers Drowning Pool a headliner…
A cursory glance around Southampton’s Joiners indicates a sold out audience of people who have clearly grown up with Beans on Toast. One of the most prolific songwriters of our great nation, the man is a regular Glastonbury fixture and a name synonymous with modern folk without the punk rock background of Frank Turner. With…
