Alice In Chains, QOTSA, 30 Seconds To Mars Among Bands Added to Download 2013

It’s that time again and Mr Andy Copping and The Powers That Be at Castle Donington & Live Nation have unleashed their second round of bands for Download 2013 to join the festival’s mighty trio of headliners Iron Maiden, Slipknot and Rammstein!

Announced within the last hour on Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio One were Queens Of The Stone Age (with their first appearance at Castle Donington), Alice In Chains (returning after a seven year absence), 30 Seconds To Mars, Motorhead, The Gaslight Anthem and HIM. One more band will be announced on Scuzz TV at 9 O’Clock, and we’ll update this post to bring you the last band as and when the news is out there.

*Update* 9 O’Clock has been and gone, and we can confirm the last band of the night joining the festivities at Download Festival 2013 are Donington veterans A Day To Remember!

Tickets (including deposit scheme) are currently on sale from the Download Festival website and from all the usual online ticketing websites. Download 2013 takes place from the 14th – 16th of June 2013 (band days).
