Having been aligned in Killswitch Engage together for almost a decade, singer Howard Jones and guitarist / producer Adam Dutkiewicz have reunited the best part of fifteen years later. Their new project, Burn Eternal, has signed to the legendary Metal Blade Records! Burn Eternal’s self-titled debut album will release on Metal Blade at the end of February 2027. And the first taste of it is now out for everyone to enjoy!
Titled Wounds I’ve Made, it kicks off with a ferocious vocal burst from Jones. His time since Killswitch Engage in bands like Devil You Know and Light The Torch has seen him further honing his craft, and it’s immediately clear he’s as good as ever. Adam D’s riffing is most of the most recognisable guitar sounds in all of metal. Burn Eternal is new, yet comfortingly familiar. And the fact it’s a complimentary, companion project to Killswitch Engage, not a replacement, is the icing on the cake.

Want to know more? Lets hear from both Howard and Adam about their new single:
“‘Wounds I’ve Made’ is about both acknowledging mistakes and regrets of the past, while also constantly evolving and moving forward,” says Jones. “Sometimes change hurts, but it’s necessary for self-growth and to avoid being stuck in the past. Some relationships aren’t meant to be.”
Dutkiewicz continues: “We are glad to finally release ‘Wounds I’ve Made.’ It’s crazy to think that this was one of the first songs I wrote for this project… six years ago! I really hope you guys dig it.”
Burn Eternal’s debut album is available to pre-order and pre-save from numerous locations on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as the usual digital platforms. Find your option of choice on this link.
