Continuing to spoil their attendees and doing very well in their attempts to get more people to part with their hard earned monies, Andy Copping and the Download Festival 2014 Team at Live Nation HQ have added another nine acts to the festival line up for this year’s rock and metal extravaganza at Donington.
Top of this list of acts is Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who will be heading to Donington for the first time with his solo project. Alongside Richie will be blues rock act The Temperance Movement, who’ve had a fantastic last twelve months (with the biggest achievement hitting number twelve in the UK album charts with their debut album) and are attempting to carry that on by putting on a great show at Donington.
In addition to those two, hardcore upstarts Baby Godzilla continue their fantastic start to 2014 by being added to the Download bill along with Birmingham post-hardcore collective Cytota. Prog metallers Nothing More also make their Download débuts alongside the always entertaining and lively Turbowolf, London art rock group Goldray, the hardcore stylings of Dead City Streets. Last but not least a band described as a “post grunge duo” – Drenge will be showcasing their unique sound to the masses at Donington Park this Summer.
These nine acts join the dozens already confirmed to appear alongside headliners Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold and Linkin Park (performing Hybrid Theory in it’s entirety). Tickets are available from the official festival website as well as Ticketmaster, Live Nation, Gigantic, Seetickets and all the other usual online ticketing websites. Stay tuned for yet further announcements in the run up to Download as it’s only just over two months away now!
