For many, Takedown Festival marks in earnest the start of the UK festival calendar. Long before the likes of Download and Bloodstock are even thinking about putting the stages up, Takedown provides a wonderful day of rock and metal on the UK’s south coast. Over the last few years it has come to be regarded as one of the UK’s best “small festivals” and the 2015 edition we’re sure will be no different. Takedown 2015 will be concluded with a bang as the festival organisers have just announced that the UK rock band of the moment Mallory Knox will be headlining the festival.
Having scored a top 15 UK album chart position with their recently released album Asymmetry and having just concluded a huge UK tour which included two nights at London’s Electric Ballroom, Mallory Knox are ideal candidates to conclude Takedown 2015. Takedown Festival has always given UK talent chances wherever it can and 2015 seems another homegrown headliner for the festival, with Mallory Knox following in the footsteps of previous headliners like Funeral For A Friend, Skindred and The Blackout.
Takedown 2015 will take place at it’s usual location of Southampton University on the 7th of March 2015. Early bird tickets are just £30 or £34 if you want to hit the Uprawr festival after party as well and can be obtained from the official festival website www.takedownfestival.co.uk.
