After the frenetic chaos of the first Rock Sins video of the week in 2017, a slightly more sedate affair this time out has produced it’s winners – Cambridgeshire five piece Standing Like Statues!
Having been up against the likes of prog metal maestros Opeth and Danish animated video specialists Vola in this weeks’ vote, ultimately it was Standing Like Statues anthem against domestic violence, Daytime TV, which came out on top. Videos that carry a powerful social message often top the polls at Rock Sins’ weekly video event, and Daytime TV has proved another success with a video that covers a subject that is so, so important. In the end they picked up a very impressive 59% of the vote, way ahead of Vola who were in second place with the rest of the bands (Opeth, Vukovi and The Charm The Fury) trailing behind.

Our winners are currently plotting their next move as they put the finishing touches to their next release, so we will keep our ears and eyes open for them very carefully throughout the rest of 2017. Stay tuned for another video of the week contest here at Rock Sins in the coming days!
