With UK metallers The Raven Age winning out last time, we’re back for another installment of video of the week!
This week we’re kicking off with some old returning friends. The King Is Blind recently announced their brand new and second album, We Are The Parasite, We Are The Cancer, which is being released on the 13th of October. The first single from the album is Godfrost, which has something for fans of everything from thrash to Anaal Nathrakh – if you’re not of a heavy disposition, beware. The video is suitably dark and melds the band with a montage of carnage happening all across the globe. Definitely one you won’t forget in a hurry.
A great blast of European post-hardcore is next, in the shape of Germany’s Alazka, who have been starting to pick up some steam recently. With their new single Ghost, it’s easy to see why. Alazka are headed to the UK in September for a one off show at The Black Heart, but in the meantime, if you’ve enjoyed the Ghost video, you could help them to video of the week victory!
Never before has Rock Sins video of the week included a song and video less than one minute long. That’s all about to change with the inclusion of Sinkhole by UK grind outfit Helpless. As one might expect, this could be the most punishing fifty seven seconds of your entire week, with a bleak and darkened video an apt visual representation for this execution of your eardrums.
From grind to something a bit lighter, courtesy of Nottingham natives As December Falls and their ballet themed video for Keep Dreaming. A song with a very positive message to promote is much welcome in a time when mental illness and depression are being talked about so much in the music industry, so if As December Falls’ dose of positivity does it for you, then make sure to vote!
Never too far from being mentioned on this website, Sheffields finest While She Sleeps have dropped a brand new video for the excellent Steal The Sun off their world beating album You Are We. It’s an internationally flavoured video, which brings home the fact that the messages carried in While She Sleeps’ material resonate just as well wherever in the world you might be. There’s also the smaller matter of headlining The Pit stage at Leeds and Reading this weekend, and a Kerrang Magazine cover appearance. just another couple of moments in what has been a deserved breakout year for Loz and the rest of While She Sleeps.
Last but not least, more British metal talent who’ve just announced their new album, Savage Messiah are back with their new single Hands Of Fate. Hands Of Fate is the opening single from their new album of the same name and is out in late October. The video is simple and effective, and very much lets the riffs, along with frontman Dave Silver’s vocals do the talking.
So there we have it once again; Six videos, only one can win. Voting closes at 12pm midday on Tuesday the 29th of August UK time. Get Voting!
