We’re looking for new writers & photographers

Rock Sins Logo

Rock Sins is currently seeking writers & photographers to expand our reach and allow us to bring you more news. We’re looking for dedicated people who want to cover everything going on in rock and metal as well as have the opportunity to go to live gigs free of charge!

We have established ourselves as a well-respected music site in the UK heavy music community, with current and former team members going on to write for / contribute to Kerrang, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, That’s Not Metal and Riot Squad among many other outlets.

Currently, we are not able to pay staff, though with our current growth we are hopeful of changing this in the near future. We will, however, provide you with great opportunities to attend shows (with the purpose of reviewing and/or photographing the shows) and the ability to hear albums before they are publicly released to review. Opportunities to cover festivals on behalf of the site are also possible – with festivals varying from year to year.

We often get writers and photographers who are studying – though this is not a prerequisite – as publishing through our site can help you get noticed in the wider industry as well as contributing towards your university portfolio. But, of course, we accept writers and photographers from all walks of life as our staff and editorial team will attest.

We’re looking for people who would like to cover:

  • News – expected output 1/2 posts a week
  • Live reviews – cover the gigs you want to see
  • Album reviews – get the albums you like first and review them
  • Interviews – get to interview bands you like

We’re also seeking photographers to cover more live gigs for us; if you just want to photograph gigs for us, we won’t require you to cover any of the previous subjects.

If you’d like to write/shoot for us, give us a brief intro to yourself and let us know where you’re from in the form below.
