FOXHAUNT have made their return. The Leeds quartet have been holed up for most of the year hard at work on new material. Now they have resurfaced with a hard hitting new single Absolution. Full of hooks throughout and with a big drop at the end, FOXHAUNT have conjured something that fans of all types of heavy can enjoy.
Check out Absolution below.
You can also stream the track on your platform of choice on this link.
If you want to know more about their new single, let’s hear it from the horses mouth, the band themselves:
Absolution is about the weight of living in a world shaped by people in power who seem completely detached from the consequences of their decisions. It comes from the frustration of watching greed, self-interest and a lack of compassion take priority over the lives of the people they’re supposed to serve.
The chorus plays with the idea of judgement and a power greater than any position of authority. However untouchable these people might seem in this life, there’s something strangely comforting in the thought that one day they may have to answer for the damage they’ve caused. In the end, no amount of power can guarantee forgiveness and there may be no absolution waiting for them.
FOXHAUNT have some live shows coming up where you can hear Absolution live as well as previous tracks like A New Beginning and Gasoline. They will be appearing at Croft Fest this weekend (October 10th), a charity festival raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK, alongside the likes of The Five Hundred, Waterlines and Asleep At The Helm.
On the 16th and 17th of October, they are playing shows in Birmingham (supporting Darlah) and Newcastle (headlining). The run of shows finishes up with Novocaine Festival in Sheffield. Taking place at the end of November, Novocaine also features headliners As Everything Unfolds, Tropic Gold and more. Full details below:
