Exciting news for all fans of the Heavy Music Awards, it’s got a brand new home! 2023 will see the 2023 show move to the iconic OVO Arena Wembley. This incredibly exciting event showcases the leading talent in heavy music and is a date we all have in our calendars for Friday 26th May. With this exciting upgrade in venue from O2 Forum Kentish Town, 2023 will see the UK’s biggest rock music awards ceremony to ever be held.

From its first year 2017, the HMSa have recognised the most influential and groundbreaking creatives in the heavy music scene. Setting itself as a staple in the calendar, this event is perfect for getting up to date with some of the industries most exciting acts.

This move across the capital to a significantly larger venue further sow cases a culture-wide shift with heavy music breaking further and further into the mainstream. Alumni of the HMAs have gone on to receive high praise and critical acclaim accompanied by huge commercial success. Previous acts including Nova Twins went from HMA artists in 2019 to featuring on the iconic Times Square billboard in 2021, with all time favourites and six-time HMA recipients Architects securing a UK Number 1 album spot last year.

Ensuring impartiality, the awards feature a panel of over a thousand industry insiders and experts nominating the finalists with the public having the final say on the award winners.
