AC/DC Singer Confirms New Album and 40th Anniversary Tour!!!

After months of waffle, speculation and rumour the frontman of legendary rockers AC/DC has confirmed there’s life in the old dogs yet!

Brian Johnson gave a surprise Valentine’s Day interview to Florida radio station Gater 98.7FM.

The racing car nut, who was taking part in the Palm Beach Grand Prix, said: “I think we’ll be going into the studio in May in Vancouver.”

He also referred to the much-publicised illness of a band member which had stalled things until now. He did not reveal who or what the difficulty was, but presumably they are on the mend as the Geordie screamer revealed a potential tour.

Johnson said they are “going to try to do 40 gigs to thank the fans for their undying loyalty!”

AC/DC formed in Australia during late 1973, performing their first proper show in a club on New Year’s Eve a few weeks after. They last played to sell out crowds in arenas and stadiums across the world from 2008 to 2010 supporting the “Black Ice” album. They visited over 100 cities playing to a total of around 5 million people.

This is serious bucket list stuff so look out for more news.

Meanwhile check out this clip from their 2011 DVD “Live At River Plate” of the awesome “Hell’s Bells”:
