Takedown Festival in Southampton is great isn’t it? Ever wished that London had something like Takedown? Well now you may be in luck with the announcement of the very first XFest Festival to take place in London on the 26th of July 2015. XFest will be held at the famous / infamous (depending on your point of view) Garage in Highbury & Islington.

Headlining the first XFest will be UK punk rockers The Dirty Youth. Fresh off a tour with US rock favourites Fozzy where they were receiving rave reviews The Dirty Youth will be closing XFest with their unique sound. Their guitarist Matt Bond had this to say about the festival:

“We’re excited about headlining the first X-Fest. we’re ready to bring the thunder!”

XFest is taking place in both parts of The Garage (Upstairs and Downstairs) so there’s a need for XFest to have a second stage headliner. That headliner is none other than goth rockers Ashestoangels. Having been hailed one of the bands of the day at Takedown Festival Ashestoangels will be showing exactly why they have a growing and loyal fanbase at XFest. Ashestoangels own Adam Crilly wanted to share the following about playing XFest:

“Xfest is going to be London Town’s answer to Takedown and we are so excited to be headlining the second stage. In terms of London shows we’ve never done anything like this and we think it’s going to be massive!”

Also on board in the first instalment of bands announced for XFest are Press To Meco, Amaryllis, 48Hours, Circle Of Reason, F.O.E.S, dirt and City Of Ashes.

Tickets for XFest cost just £12 plus booking fees and postage charges and can be obtained from Ticketweb on the following link – https://www.ticketweb.co.uk/artist/xfest-tickets/937727. More bands and news about XFest will follow in the coming weeks and months so stay tuned!
